Putting was not good today but I tried to just stay within myself, play boring golf and tried to get myself in a position to have a chance to win,” he said. Aramco Invitational: Itthipat strikes when it matters Thailand’s Itthipat Buranatanyarat let his experience do the talking in the final round of the Aramco Invitational in Saudi Arabia, his two-under-par 70 enough to maintain his overnight lead and secure victory. He finished four shots ahead of American Dodge Kemmer, the joint halfway leader, while Varanyu Rattanaphiboonkij from Thailand was third. Itthipat had started the last day with a four-shot advantage and was never troubled especially after birdies on the second and third. It was his fourth win on the Asian Development Tour and the victory allowed him to secure the Order of Merit title for the first time, importantly securing his Asian Tour card for 2025. “I can’t put into words how I feel now,” said Itthipat, who has played on both the Asian Tour and Asian Development Tour since 2014. The Aramco event boasts overall prizemoney of US$250,000 and is the tour’s most lucrative tournament. 147
