The September edition of the Maybank World Mastercard Golf Tournament teed off at Singapore’s top rated golf course.
Seventy-one golfers participated in the September edition of the Maybank World Mastercard Golf Tournament, held at Singapore’s top-rated course, Serapong. As with past editions, the tournament continues to offer exclusive experiences and privileges for Maybank cardholders. The event began with golfers receiving curated goodie bags, followed by lunch at the Sentosa Golf Club before heading out to play on what is widely regarded as Singapore’s most challenging and scenic golf course.

Playing the championship layout was made even more pleasurable with the many on-course distractions. At the halfway house, appetites were kept satisfied with coney dogs and all its trappings, watermelon cups and bergedil for local flavour.
All eyes were on the selected par 3s where hole-in-one prizes were offered. Audi House sponsored a 98-inch Samsung Mini LED TV worth S$14,999 at hole 2; ID Integrated put up S$50,000 cash at hole 8; and W Atelier provided an incentive of S$50,000 worth of designer furnishings on hole 14.
Outside of the tournament proper, novelty games kept everyone focused on their shots. Mr Tay Chong San’s tee shot on hole 2 ended just 0.9m from the hole to win Nearest to Pin and a GolfBuddy 2S Pro Rangefinder sponsored by Leonian. Mr Jianda Ng won a pair of adidas CodeChaos golf shoes sponsored by adidas in Between the Lines by adidas on hole 5.

Mr Foo Mao Jing delivered an impressive 258m drive on hole 12, earning himself a Callaway Elyte Fairway Wood sponsored by Leonian. On hole 17, Mr Zulkiflee Bin Aly clinched the Nearest to Pin prize, taking home an adidas PU Boston Bag. Mr Gan Chin Kia came close on hole 18, landing his ball just 0.2m from the line to win the Nearest to Line contest and another adidas PU Boston Bag.
In the main tournament, Mr Joey Chang secured the position of second runner-up and received an adidas Golf LW Stand Caddy Bag worth S$395. Ms Melissa Sim finished as first runner-up, winning an Adizero Stand Caddy Bag, while Mr Solomon Tan Jun Zhang emerged as the overall champion, taking home an adidas Golf Caddy Bag. All prizes for the top three winners were proudly sponsored by adidas.
The excitement continued after play ended, with guests enjoying pre-dinner cocktails and a culinary treat from Dotzu — A5 wagyu shabu prepared fresh on the spot. Satay skewers were also served as light bites as guests mingled and awaited dinner.
The evening concluded with a celebratory banquet at the Sentosa Golf Club, capped off by a much-anticipated lucky draw. Ms Tan Lee Ching walked away with a TaylorMade Qi35 Driver sponsored by Partee Golf.
Mr Tan Dengqi won a two-day/1-night stay at W Hotel Sentosa with breakfast for two sponsored by Mastercard. Mr Denys Ngo Jin Shen won a two-day/1-night stay at Equarius Hotel in a Deluxe Room for two with two tickets to Singapore Oceanarium sponsored by Mastercard. And Mr Tay Chong San walked home with the top prize of a S$4,888-voucher for luxury spa, facial and hair treatments plus a box of Srixon golf balls sponsored by Alpha Aesthetics.
