Crafting A Resilient Legacy: What You Should Know

03 Nov 2020

Plan a legacy that supports your long-term wealth preservation objectives

To what extent will you go to ensure your wealth continues to benefit your family for generations to come?

Building a solid legacy plan is the answer to safeguarding your family’s future. As a financial strategy for managing a person’s bequest, a legacy plan facilitates smooth wealth transfer to future generations. Planned and organized with the help of a financial advisor, it guarantees that a person’s legacy will be carried out as intended.

This November, Opus by Prudential and Portfolio are co-hosting a three-part webcast series, ‘Crafting A Resilient Legacy’, on creating successful legacy plans. The complimentary webcast features a panel of business leaders who will shed light on legacy planning and wealth protection, especially in times of uncertainty.

The first session in the series, on 3 November, features Angjolie Mei, founder and CEO of The Life Celebrant. Angjolie will share how she is infusing new thinking into the traditional funeral services business with her entrepreneurial venture. She will be joined by Vikna Rajah, Equity Partner at Rajah & Tann, who will share more about the value of a will and the importance of ensuring we have a succession plan in place.

On 5 November, Ismail Gafoor, Executive Chairman and CEO of PropNex Realty, will share how he built Singapore’s largest property agency, and how home ownership makes an ideal part of a legacy, particularly in Singapore. David Chua, Chief Investment Officer at Prudential Singapore, will be on hand to talk about broader trends in investments and how property can form part of a resilient portfolio.

Lim Ji Hsien, Head of High Net Worth Solutions at Prudential Singapore, will join her to share more about how parents today can pass on their wealth and wisdom to their children and ensure they are empowered but not entitled, with the right wealth protection strategies to meet their future needs.
