TaylorMade Golf today officially launched the Gloire G premium dream set at the TaylorMade Performance Centre (TMPC) located at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club’s MST Golf Super Store. The clubs tailored for distinguished golfers in Asia is designed to provide great distance based on an easy to hit design concept – Easy To Address, Easy To Draw, and Easy To Swing. Mr. Ng Yap, Chief Executive Officer at MST Golf praised the high standards of the Japanese made clubs. He also disclosed the significant market share held by the distinguished clubs. “These clubs are used by most TaylorMade Pro’s in Japan.
TaylorMade Gloire Club’s consumer market is so strong that it commands 30% of the market share,” he said. Ng added that the clubs were considered “reasonably priced” compared to US standard golf clubs and is optimistic that the new offering would do well in the coming months. The event also featured Gloire G’s ambassador, Mr Steward Ginn who expressed pride in being selected as the brand ambassador. “I feel very honoured because I know in the business that this is the number one brand.” He also stressed the importance of the right equipment to start playing golf which would make the game easier and more enjoyable.
Ginn has won several prestigious tournaments including the Malaysian Open in 1986 and the Malaysian Masters in 1991. He currently resides in Malaysia. The Gloire G Driver AS 10.5 GL5000 retails at RM3390.00 while its irons, the Gloire G IR AS 5-PAS GL5000 comes in at RM7,490.00. The drivers and graphite shaft are co-engineered by Japanese golf company Fujikura which has existed for over 20 years.
